It was so cold that I woke up several times
in mid night. I guess that because my old inflatable mattress doesn’t inflate
well anymore. Spring in Alaska is cold, as cold as winter in Hokkaido, Japan.
When sun went up, I tried to warm my body up, like a mongoose dose. Sunlight is
a blessing to every creature on the earth.
My leg doesn’t go worse. But I don’t want
to take the risk. The couple told me they could not host me this week, but
their neighbor would like to host me. I got to Talkeetna by noon. An old guy (Jon)
came up to me and said: ” you must be the Taiwanese.” Turns out he is the guy
willing to host me.He used to ride a lot before he injured his knee, now he is doing
paragliding. Jon is obviously an outdoor guy.
